  • Some interesting facts after the first 10 games:
Royals have the only 100% record in the EBJL Under 9s age group and have now scored 52 goals in all the 10 games played this season and are the only Div4 side in the last 16 of the cup. Six of the squad 9 players have scored 3 or more goals and Eoghain has scored 22 goals (includes 5 hat-tricks). In all the Royals have used 8 different goalkeepers from the squad of 9.
Every player in the squad has enjoyed total playing time between 74%-86% of the total available and 'on field' (non GK) playing time of between 61%-74% in many different positions.
All players have also enjoyed leading the team as captain in at least one game this season.

  • Thank you to all the parents for continuing to support and encourage the players at the games so enthusiastically and for taking your turns on the informal kit washing rota!

Finally a new page has been created to capture summary match reports which will be updated each month and rather than appoint a man of the match for each game will mention a couple of things that make the games memorable for whatever reasons i.e. whether it be bravery, skill, effort or maybe sportsmanship, integrity or unselfishness during the matches. - These will be known as 'Managers Moments' and may even serve as a reminder for parents who will be asked at the end of the season to vote for their 'Player of the Year'.
